Identify Software’s AppSight Named Finalist in 2005 SIIA Codie Awards
The Leader in Application Problem Resolution Software Selected in Application Management Category of Prestigious Industry Awards
NEW YORK, January 31, 2005 – Identify Software, the leader in application problem resolution software, widely known for its Black Box Flight Recorders for Software, today announced that it has been honored as a finalist in the 20th annual Codie Awards presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). Identify’s AppSight was named one of five finalists in the Best Application Management Solution category. The category winner will be announced at a gala on May 25, 2005 at Universal Studio's Globe Theater in Universal City, Calif.
“The 20th annual Codie Awards continues the tradition of honoring the best of the software, content, and education technology industries," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement.”
For 20 years, the Codie Awards have remained the leading honor for the software and information industry's finest products and services. More than 1,000 nominations were submitted by over 800 companies for the 2005 awards, breaking the record set in 2004. Codie Award judges are representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, analysts, consultants, and subject-matter experts. Judges work to select the industry’s most innovative products and services through an intensive product review process.
Hundreds of companies, worldwide, rely on Identify’s AppSight to accelerate their application problem resolution process. AppSight uses patented Black Box software technology to monitor application execution and capture a synchronized, real-time log of user actions, system events, performance metrics, configuration data, and code execution flow—much like the “black box” flight recorder on an aircraft captures a real-time record of a flight. The AppSight Black Box log can be replayed and analyzed to quickly pinpoint the root cause of all kinds of application problems, whether related to performance, configuration issues, user mistakes, or code errors. This enables IT professionals to proceed directly to solving the problem, eliminating up to 70 percent of the cycle time traditionally consumed by root cause analysis. With comprehensive problem analysis and cross-platform support for J2EE, Windows, and .NET environments, Identify has set the industry standard for a complete solution for application problem resolution.
“The Codie Awards are well respected as an endorsement of technology innovation and market leadership, and we are pleased that the SIIA has honored Identify with this finalist placement,” said Yochi Slonim, Identify CEO. “This is a testament to AppSight’s unique ability to work across the application lifecycle to accelerate an organization's problem resolution processes, resulting in immediate savings and major business benefits.”
